Myles' Funny Friend!

Myles is so blessed with such great friends. He is the type of kid that is laid back and doesn't really have a problem with anyone. As his parent's we love knowing he can get along and find friends in lots of groups. I guess I'm saying he is well rounded, a real boys boy but sensitive too!

One of his friend, Branson, CRACKS me up! He has the funniest laugh and is completely chill!

He has the best manners (not that the others don't) and is so respectful. Snaps to Chad and Sherry! I added a picture of Sherry's awesome present idea. I would have never thought of this and I consider myself to be pretty crafty!

My baby boy turned 9 on August 26th! Last year in the single digits... I feel like he just came into my life and now he's nine, in 4th grade and has opinions of his own!

He wanted a party with "just the guys" this year (totally killed me). He wanted them to spend the night so I told him he could have three friends so Lan and I took them to see Star Wars, eat Mexican and back home for cake and a sleepover. They had so much fun and were so good!

Busy Bee!

I have been so busy with so many different activities lately that I am backed up on my blogging! So much has happened in just a few short weeks! Myles turned 9 (GASP!), ballet and soccer started back and we gave a baby shower for sweet Regan! So hear come the updates!!!

Bunko!

I'm a little behind on my blogging so I need to catch up! I'll start with my bunko experience.

Last Tuesday (the 19th) I went and subbed for a friends bunko group. Amanda plays with her mom and several other ladies that age. I only new a few of them and they really welcomed me until...

Those of you that play bunko will know what I mean when I say I rolled 5 bunko's! This is supposedly unbelievable in the bunko world and there were a few (really one) that were not to pleased. Not only did I get these 5 bunko's but I also won 12 games and came away with a great prize!

I don't know that I will be invited to sub anytime soon but it was fun and when you get bunko you also got to wear a crown so most of the night I sat around with a crown on my head (some would say that's perfect for me)!

Here is the picture of my beautiful prize and I'm including a recipe for a great fruit salad that was served.

"Fruit Salad"

1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix

1/2 cup of Tang

1 tablespoon of poppy seeds

1-21 oz. can cherry pie filling

2-14 oz. cans pineapple chunks (drained)

2-11 oz. cans mandarin oranges (drained)

3-bananas

3-apples (unpeeled)

3-kiwi

red seedless grapes

Mix and chill!

*I am sure any other fruits you wanted to add be be delicious!

Back to school!

It's official! I am the mother of a 4th grader and kindergartner! Where did all the time go? What happened to my babies? I will commend myself for not falling apart this year. Last year I lost it and went into that uncontrollable crying that nothing can stop!

They are both so excited about school! Both of their teachers are amazing and it's so good to see them eager to go and start their day. Myles got a new twist this year because he gets to change classes. My goodness my baby is growing so fast! I thank God every day that I am their mother! What a gift!

Home again...

Since school was starting Monday we decided to spend the weekend in Hazlehurst and spend some time with Nanny and Mimi. We also got to spend a fun evening with the Woods' except this time Lan was able to come with us.

Friday morning Nanny (my grandmother) called and said her heart was beating irregularly and she was headed to the doctor. They made her stay one night and she was able to be back with us Saturday morning. She is the toughest lady I know! Nothing stops her and don't ever try to get in her way!

Saturday night we got together with Chad and Jennifer to eat and let the children play together. Myles is almost nine, Zack is four and Katie Grace is five but they all play so well together. Bless her heart Katie Grace hung right in there with those boys! Jennifer cooked us a great supper and we had so much fun just hanging out and talking. Mary Margaret was a bit fussy so Lan held her while we got everything together. I don't mind saying I loved seeing him love on this precious baby! He rocked her and they did quite well together!

Hopefully we'll be back in a few more weeks and I'll be able to smell that good Hazlehurst air!
